We collected, wrote, designed, and produced the first edition of the GDA lexicon. In this 300 page book, we gathered 166 of the most used terms in our graphic design department. To show how versatile these words and defnitions are, we included more than 200 sources of artworks and essays that strengthened and explained these terms further. In this book, we see language within design as fluid and ever-changing. We wanted to be critical of the use of certain words, as we tend to sometimes overuse them or place them in descriptions that make works of design more ‘interesting’.
Currently we are working on the production of 200 copies for the department of Graphic Design Arnhem.
